KOREA Part 2

Hello guys!

I'm finally back from my Korea trip. Just as I'm about to get use to their daily life, I'm back here in Singapore. Kind of sad.... =( I really love the people and culture there. Anyway, I will be going back to Korea in September again. Hehehehe

If you guys read my post and tweets earlier, I have been raving on that I'm going to do an Asian Blepharoplasty (Asian Double Eyelid Surgery). Ok I think I need to do an explanation here. Asian Blepharoplasty creates a natural cease and the Blepharoplasty creates a higher ceases which is more for Caucasians. I'm currently healing better than anyone.. By the 4th day I didn't have much swollen and bruises, my Korean friend was impressed by it too. I can already do my shopping and sight seeing. Ok Pictures will be up soon.

Meanwhile...

Just some items I bought from my trip.

PORORO Plush Toy from Myeongdong & Crong Plush Toy from  EVERLAND.

Had a serious dry cough in Korea. My guide friend brought me to their local pharmacy to get
some medication and I didn't expect this is their cough medicine. The top is the cough syrup
and the below one is actually some powder to mix it with warm water.
Both taste like winter-melon..

PANCOAT! Apparently this brand is popular among Primary school kids, as well as HATSON.
I hardly see adults wearing this brand around. =P  NVM I'm kid at heart.

This is the free gift given even though I only purchase 3 tops.

WHY THEY SO GENEROUS ONE! Thank you PANCOAT!!

Anyway, I went there & show them some pictures of the designs my friends wanted.
Those that they put it online are actually out of season already. The range above are the
 latest one.
FYI, sizes like XS & S are sold out pretty fast. I am left with little choices.

Myeongdong is so popular for their Skincare products!

The masks were sold in packs & packs. So worth it!
I have yet to test out the products cos I'm still not allow to
let water or anything to touch my eyes. Bought all these from
different shops.

WHY THE KOREANS ARE SO GENEROUS ONE!

THANK YOU!!!

I LOVE KOREA!

HAHAHAH Gangnam Style skin care and hair wax for le BF. <3

Got all these shoes from the authentic shops outside of Seoul where
they put those out of season shoes for sale at very cheap prices. I
forgot that place name but it's along the way back to Seoul from National
Korea Museum.

Ok that's all for now. I need to cleanse my face and put warm packs on my eyes now.

Will update soon!

Korea Part 1 - Arrival

Day 1

Me 5am in the morning ready to rock Seoul (lol) New Pink Adidas jacket <3

Then I checked in at 630am, had Toastbox breakfast and boarded SQ airline at 745am. The flight took off earlier then the expected time! Food on flight was the seafood meal - fish, cold tuna macaroni, coffee and ice cream. It's been a long time since I took SQ, their standard drop tremendously! I actually haven finish my meal and they took away my tray without asking & they ask you whether you want any beverages in a very rude tone.

Fight itself took about 6hrs, I didn't expect that I had to take the train from the airport to the immigration custom lol Cool right!? Straight after collecting my luggage, went to search for my driver arranged by the hospital.

In Korea it's hard to find pre paid cards around and I'm those type that I cannot survive with no Internet. Rented a pocket modem from SK Roaming counter. It's 8,000 won/ day but if you rented more that 6 days the rental fees will be waved off.

Reached the hotel around 630pm (Seoul timing) because the whole of gangnam street is jam!

Pictures of my hotel.
Ephphatha Residence

It's the cheapest hotel in Gangnam. Love everything here. Feels like home and cosy! $30USD per night. Would recommend to with travel budget.

For now.. I need to rest. Will update again if I can't seep. =P

Throwback Thursday.

I'm still feeling sick thou. Need to recover from my flu ASAP. But I guess, avoiding heaty food and exercising for the time being is a huge challenge for me. BF finally got his off day, we finally got the chance to try out Tim Ho Wan dimsum. He is a man with great patience, so he queue for almost an hour while I go jogging.

The place itself is very small. Just like in Hong Kong, they try to squeeze you in whenever they have space. Definitely a boo in Singapore. Overall the dimsum were served pretty fast, just that I don't recommend this place to fussy & health catious people. I find some of the dim sums taste too salty, sweet & oily (the dim sum taste different compare to the Hong Kong branch). If you have been to the Hong Kong branch, there's nothing to rave about the outlet in Singapore, and not worth the queue.

This is still my fav. Yam with sago dessert.

That's all for now.
I'll end this post with a shameless photo of myself. =P

6 More Days to Korea!

It is frustrating to stay up till now searching software to update on my Samsung Tab 8.9. Turns out, (which I guess so) there might be no update for my tab from the start. Well, I need to check out everything again with the service center in the morning tml.

Counting down to 6 more days to korea and 7 days to my "minor" plastic surgery. I'm not really excited about it... Probably I plan to get myself cut long time ago. I'm already looking at the next part to cut. =X After seeing great result of my friends faces.. I felt that I should get my eyes fixed ASAP!!!!...

Anyway, was told to do a pre-op care by the consultant in Singapore.

  • 1 Tab Vitamin C a day after food
  • 1 Tab of Zinc after food
  • No drinking alcohol for 1 month <--- This one impt! Can affect the healing!!
  • Take "Pian Zi Huang" 2 weeks before surgery <-- Was told to take this by ajumma friend for faster healing!
*** For those who have scars that are hard to heal, can try to take Pian Zi Huang for 2 weeks. I personally find my scars lighten and some parts of my scratches starts to heal faster! I know I very chor lor. =( Mind you, they are expensive. Can be purchase at most medical hall in power form, ask them to make into capsules.

Alright. I need to go offline now. Having flu for days and now my medication start to have it's effect.. I'm feeling drowsy... Good night everyone! <3

Regarding my Samsung Tab 8.9 .....

Question!

Does anyone know how do I update my Samsung Tab 8.9 Firmware? My firmware is mega old and now even the Kies Air software despise me. LOL I suppose there are two ways for me now:

  1. Restore everything
  2. Bring it to the service center.
I would be glad if someone here can provide me other alternatives!
