Gillian's DIY Home Spray with Young Living

Ok, you guys shouldn't be looking at my avatar when you read this post. I'm actually auntie at heart. =P When it comes to personal hygiene & cleanliness,  I'm very particular. Because it's the rainy season now, the ants around my house are moving their nest frequently. (err I don't know where they come from actually..) I NEEDA GET RID ALL OF THEM! 

My friend Madeline suggested me to try out this amazing product from Young Living, Thieves Household Cleaner which I didn't regret buying it! I filled the spray bottle with tap water and diluted 1 capful of Thieves Household Cleaner and sprayed at the ants. Subsequently I do this for the next 3 days and successfully killed all the ants. Not only that, I felt my living room & kitchen are so polished and clean! How amazing this product is!

Hence, I created my own home spray.

Regina KPL Review

Have anyone tried REGINA KPL? They have outlets at The Central, 100AM, Junction 8 blah blah... Well anyway, they are real bad. Do stay away from them! I bought this voucher from Groupon for their unlimited KPL upperlip. The package was cheap, I understand and they need to be pushy at times. 

However, I felt the burden visiting the shop each time (The Central Outlet). This PRC staff, I suppose is the manager of the branch, or maybe not she just look like one never fails to psycho me to try out their Brazilian KPL or their facial.. and sometimes I could feel being forced.. yup FORCE. And each time, I would KINDLY reject the offer, she would still go on telling me their wow WOW WOW!!! kind of promotions. To the extend, sometimes I need to fake an excuse to run away from their shop. Sounds exaggerating right? Go google or check out their facebook, I'm not the only victim. 

The KPL itself works on me after a few sessions with them, the hair on my upper lips are getting finer and I am not going back to REGINA anymore.

Once in a while, we have a class outing. Had a craving for Naengmyun (Cold Noodles) and my teacher suggested this restaurant as he felt they served the best Naengmyun in Singapore. They have a lunch set menu $23++, which you can choose between bulgogi/galbi and a naengmyun/jigae. The bulgogi I've tried is being cooked with dark soya sauce and tasted sweet, but this is slightly different as you can see from the picture. 

Overall, the food satisfy my taste bud, it's slightly pricey though..

When it comes to food & desserts, nothing can escape from Noi Rocker's eyes. We are suppose to go for therapy at Sun Alliances (Tampines) but we end up spending the afternoon at the cafe. Our style. Hahahaha!

Young Living - Cedarwood Essential Oil (Hair Loss)

Cedarwood Essential Oil was the first oil introduced to me before I joined Young Living. I had a serious hair loss problem over the years, tried all kinds of formulas but none of it worked. My girlfriend who attended the workshop, told me about this amazing oil can aid my hair loss. I hesitate at first because I hate to put oil base products on my scalp since it's already oily and the smell must be weird. Then she told me about the price...

Directions

After towel dry your hair, put 1 drop on palm and slowly massage on your scalp. Works better if you use the steambath or hair steamer. 

OR

Mix 1 drop with your shampoo when you wash your hair each time. This option works best for me and it helps to control my oily scalp. My hair is now fuller & shiner.  

It has been a few months since I used this oil, it haven looses it's effect. For a 15ml of Cedarwood Oil can last me for a few months. Since it's affordable, why not give it a try?

So if you have make up on, remove your make up & cleanse your face.

Am I the only person that thinks Shiseido Perfect Oil (Make up remover) doesn't completely remove all my make up and leaves a filmy residues on my eyes? Oh well, I just have to bare with it and take a longer time to fully remove my make up because it's pricey too. Oh well... =(

I absolutely love this place, it is home away from home. This guesthouse was managed by 2 grandparents (but both don't look old hehehe) I enjoyed my stay when I was in Korea last year and told my mum that I will come back here again. And I did! I went there alone. Apparently they bought down the building beside which was previously a photography studio and expanded it. The grandparents are no longer at the guesthouse all day now but their son is the one doing the business now.

My cosy room! 

Pros

-Great for solo traveler 

-Toilet in every room 

-Security is tight

-Suitable for solo female travler

-Reasonable room rates

-Location is good. There are buses & subway stations.

Cons

-Room is small. 

-Not sound proof, sometimes I can hear my neighbor's tv

Nana sshi & Me. We had Korean lunch with no Korean guy.. follow by Korean class lol! (Our inside joke with seon-saeng-nim)

This newly opened Korean restaurant was recommended by Nana-sshi. She said that it's always crowded & the queue is long so it must be good. We decided to give it a try. They served common Korean lunch sets but the popular set meal here is the Ramyeon set (includes kimchi & a drink) The toppoki here taste like the red tents in Korea!

Dessert at the shop beside the Korean Restaurant.

I need a break.

Taking care of old people ain't easy, especially my grandmother is like a dowager. This supposedly wasn't our responsibilities, but the actual one due to some mental & emotional setbacks backed out pretty last minute. It's kind of complicated but the whole situation had to involve people that are not in the picture. So the ones who take up the responsibilities (again) is my Dad. No unhappiness here, I love my grandmother couldn't be happier to live with her now. Just that, I hate last minute things. If you are down with some mental illness why can't you tell us earlier so we all can figure a way?

& time is not going to heal anything anymore. 

Yesterday I had this high tide feeling that I need to pee but it's only a few drops each time when I go to the toilet. After a few hours trying to force out the pee inside, I notice some blood! Totally freak me out!!! Turns out, doctor told me to drink more water, don't hold on to the pee & be easy on myself. 

I've been so stress that I really need a break.

Nail Montrose Review

Bought a 3 sessions voucher from Groupon and kind of regret it. Voucher stated it was classic Gelish mani & pedi but it turns out to be express! Feels kind of cheated but I didn't argue with the manicurists as the price is cheap.

Skills wise...... FAIL... & I felt like I owe them a few hundred bucks. You know what I mean. =P
My Gelish nails starts to peel after a week.

I don't recommend this place at all.

Again, not the classic gelish mani & pedi as they claim at the voucher... 

However, I must share this with you girls. The way of them removing the gelish is different from other shops. Usually when removing the gelish, the manicurist will put a wet cotton and wrap with aluminium foils on the nails right? Nail Montrose used some kind of drills directly onto my nails...
and i feel that the layers of my nails are so much thinner now. =(


I don't think I'm going back for my last session with them.

Theft at Amore Fitness (Plaza Singapura Branch)

I know it is my fault, I shouldn't have left my bag unattended. 

But it's not my first time leaving my bag like this at the usual spot. 

No one was at the gym during the time (except the PTs), class just started & I'm certain that no one was using the shower room nor hanging at the lockers. 

Everything happened so fast, so the person must know Amore Fitness well. This thief should be one of the staff. It must be. I'm sure. However, Amore Fitness did not try their best to help me, instead they push my problem around and left me holding on the line for half an hour and no one attend to me. Next day, the manager called again saying she would check the CCTV, which to this date, I still have no news on it. I would appreciate if you guys, (be responsible abit) let me know about it, whether have or don't have. 

It's my 5th year with them, their customer service is getting bad to worst. Are they even being trained properly before they are hired or they are only trained to "hard-sell" people? 

To the thief: I take it I donate to the charity because I think u are in need of paying your medical bills or you have never own a PRADA in your life. However, there's a dark secret on that wallet. Walk in to any PRADA store, you will know why. =) 

And lastly, thank you for taking my identifications too! I'm still hesitating to change because of the way I look now but I didn't because I want to keep the classic photo of me. Now I can haz everything new =D 

Staycation at Santa Grand Hotel - East Coast Review

 Yes, this is another deal voucher review =P 

Hubby & me desperately want to have a short gateway but both us have to be in Singapore because of our work. Initially we wanted to buy the Equarius Hotel deal which includes USS tickets, but weather in Singapore hasn't been good & may spoil the fun. So instead we bought this deal.

Making reservation was easy, just email them the details and they get back to me within 2 days. However 3 days before my arrival, I called for confirmation again (just to be sure) but the front desk told me to call after 9am (because I called at 830am). This whole thing sound weird and I didn't call back again. 

 Check-in was smooth on our arrival (phew! lucky no mess up despite the weird front desk earlier) Front desk are attentive to our enquries and we were told to pay a $50 deposit. Location was good because there are so many famous food nearby, and opposite is Katong 112 Shopping Centre. 

Room for the night. 

Was expecting a bathtub .... =( 

Roof top swimming pool. We should have bought along our swimming wears! Nice view from the top.

Review: room was clean & decent, kind of what we expected, just that there is no bathtub as shown in the photo at their website. It was a pleasant stay for us.

My Nails @ Far East Plaza Review

Since Chinese New Year is coming, I decided that I should get some nails extension. As a perfectionist, I have to look at my very best in every occasions but don't want to burn a hole in my pocket. Visiting Groupon / DEAL.com.sg sites has become my hobby and also I don't feel that I have to commit myself at a certain place. 

1 X Option 3: One Session of Gel Pedicure

1 X Option 7: Nails Extension with Gel Manicure 

Review: Called immediately to make the appointment and I was able to get the time & slot I wanted, probably it wasn't the "peak" yet. There are a total of 2 branches, Orchard Plaza & Far East Plaza. I opt for Far East Plaza because I don't have problem fighting for carpark lots. Overall I had a pleasant session with them, atmosphere was good because the manicurists were chatty too. They do approach you to buy their packages but they don't hard sell, that's what we are looking for. =) 

Skill wise, like the saying: "you pay peanuts, you get monkeys". Not much complain~ 

1 week after the extension. I top up for the glitters at $20.
Manicurist says it can last me till Chinese New Year. 

Absolutely love this pastel green, so refreshing!

Secret Wellness @ Hougang Review

Bought 2 vouchers from DEAL.com.sg for hubby & me. 

2 X 1 Session of 60 min Relaxing Foot Reflexology with Detoxifying Foot Soak.

The SPA experience was overall a pleasant one & probably the most accessible location EVER for me. 

Location was easy to find because I drove pass a few times and know they are located at the back door. Do give them a call them so they can direct you the directions!

  Along the way up to 2nd floor. Papers on the board are handwritten testimonials from their customers.

Rooms for massage. For foot reflexology are usually done at the open area in front of the counter. 

I would recommend this to people buying vouchers from Groupon / DEAL.com.sg. I like that they don't hard sell and even ask you to come back to try all their trial facial & massage. I will be trying the Hot-Stone massage next time. Had a quick browse at their packages, seem appealing and reasonable too. However I am a little disappointed that I went there at 11am but finish the session at 1150am, not even 60mins as claim. Masseur is good because I request for strong force and she is able to do it.  Do share your experiences with this SPA! :)
