My precious bunny Katya pass away due to diarrhea. Died on the vet. It was quite an emotional day for us, took us a while to get over with the sudden death. Morning was difficult, espically she would sit at the gate waiting for her food to be served and showed her excitment to us walking pass by her cage.

Adopted another bunny, Netherland dwarf, named August. August is a 3-legged and a very manja boy. After a 3 days stay, August suddenly had diarrhea. How can this situation happen again so fast? This time, without thinking much I rushed him to the vet immediately. Doctor gave him a drip and prescribed some medication which he looks fine but grouchy afterwards. 

However that night while we were getting ready for bed, heard a loud thump, and found him dead. We were in shock! This time, we have to arrange a pet cremation. Enaged Mobile Pet Creamtion, came within 1.5hours to pick up August's body.

Cremation charges: $100 for mass cremation / $200 with cremation urn.

Having witness 2 bunnies deaths now, i've noticed both were identical and died of the same causes. It makes me feels very guilty as an owner and sometimes too wonder if the vets are experience to see rabbits.

Still can't get over the deaths, only thing I can think of is that both are eating from the same source of hay. Went up to Taobao to read the recent reviews and realize that alot of their bunnies died after eating their recent batch of hay due to pesticides! GOSH! Katya was fine eating the hay and I thought it was good and continue purchasing hay from them. I feel like I murdered them.

From now on, no more food that is sourced from China. 

Katya's daily routine

Morning
1. Open the bedroom door, Rambo would dash out to to check on Katya.
2. Refill her bowl with less than 1 tablespoon of Oxbow pellets.
3. Replenish her water bowl with added supplement.

This is so far the best bedding I've used, doesn't stain the tray, easy clean.

These wood shavings are the worst. Doesn't absorb the odor and pee, I have to scrub like crazy every day to clean the tray. Comes with scent, which is bad for bunnies. Thou it comes with unscented and price is really affordable, I will not use it again. Cleaning part is a mess.

5. Refill hay box.

I used to give her hays from Oxbow, but she is always wasting it. But ever since i switch her to Taobao hays, I realize there is less wastage though the hays are drier and slightly yellow. 

Evening
1. Came back from work, asking how's her day.
2. Put a handful of oat hays on her tray.
3. Refill her bowl with fresh vegetables!

Feeding fresh vegetables is
a part of rabbit's diet.

4. Treats and Bonding session time!
Sometimes I'll give her a few pieces of dried flowers and dried corns.

Home cooked dog food recipe

Today I would like to share what I usually cook for my dog. My dog is not a picky eater, he will eat what you give him. There is nothing better than home cooked food for dogs!

Rambo is a 2.5 year old miniature schnauzer, FYI :)

1/2cup of lean pork slices

1/3cup of chopped carrot, spinach , long bean , barley 

1 teaspoon of brown rice 

1 tablespoon of kibbles

No salt no oil added. Put all together and steam for 15mins. Let it cool for a while and be sure to add supplements especially calcium before feeding.

The joy of making Rambo's meal healthy makes me feel I'm giving him the very best life! 

Korean Bibimbap (Mixed Rice with Vegetables) Recipe

Daniel's first time eating Bibimbap (he's never been to Korea), I'm super happy that he found it delicious! 

Recipe (Serves 2)

• 1 1/2 cooked white rice
• 3/4 cup soybean sprouts 
• 1/2 cup spinach
• 1 carrot (medium size)
• 1 zucchini / cucumber (medium size) 
• 1/2 red bell pepper
• 250g minced lean pork (in Korea usually served with beef)
• 2 eggs
• minced garlic
• sesame oil
• sesame seeds
• soy sauce
• salt
• honey
• Korean hot pepper paste (Gochujang)  
• Apple cider vinegar

Soybean sprouts

Cook the sprouts with 1 teaspoon of salt for 20 minutes over medium low heat, then take out the sprouts and put them in a bowl and mix with 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic  , 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil, 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds. Soybean sprouts soup can be served with bibimbap :) 

Spinach 

Blanched spinach, put them in a bowl and mix with 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic, 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil, 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds. 

Cut the rest of the vegetables into matchsticks and saute with little oil for 30s - 1min. I use Happy call pan, so no oil is required. 

Minced Lean Pork

Mixed with 2 teaspoon minced garlic,  1 teaspoon soy sauce, 1 teaspoon sesame oil, 2 teaspoon honey, 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds and stir fry. 

Eggs

Make 2 sunny side up eggs.

Sauce (Serves 2)

1 tablespoon of Korean hot pepper paste (Gochujang), 2 teaspoon soy sauce, 2 teaspoon soy sauce, 

2 teaspoon minced garlic, 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar, 1 teaspoon honey, 1 teaspoon sesame seeds and mix in a small bowl. 

Arrange all the vegetables and meat in a large stainless steel bowl (I got mine from Daiso), sprinkle sesame seeds, drizzle with sesame oil, add gochujang at the side and serve right away! 

Bibimbap is a popular Korean food that is healthy and low in fat.

Thailand trip on Oct 2015

It's been a long long time since the 4 us travel together.

Second stay here, booked a suite with two rooms. Rooms are spacious and clean! The best thing is that it's a few minutes walk to Ratchathewi BTS. However, most taxi & tuk tuk drivers do not know this hotel, tell them Asia Hotel and direct the way. I do notice a drop in service standard, my parents couldn't speak English and most of the time are communicating in Chinese. So I presume the staffs must have assume us from Mainland and are not taking initiative towards us but to others. 

How can we miss out the feasting of seafood when in Chinatown!

**Scream!!!** Forgot what mall is this but its on way to Platinum Plaza and saw Mario Maurer! He is the ambassador for this newly launched brand sneakers, and so many xmm were screaming for him!

So this is the surprise I arranged for my brother, who is a fan of Muay Thai. Very bloody, but I feel some of the fights were scripted too. 

Beijing 2015

I'm so in love with Beijing! 

The place we stayed is near to the famous chain restaurant for Peking duck,

大董烤鸭店. It is actually a fine dining restaurant, price is steep but worth the dinning experience!  

This time we conquered 慕田峪 (Great Wall). Rented a van with driver without guide because we have no communication problem, at 700RMB including a trip to Ming Tomb.

CUPCAKE Original Little Baby Underarm Cream Review

Today I'll review on one of the popular beauty products from Thailand, that you can find on Instashop (Instagram), CUPCAKE Original Little Baby Underarm Cream.

Let us look at the packaging.

With cute packaging size that targets
young women from age 16 - 24.

What it claims:

• Soften & Whiten Underarms 
• Moisturize Underarms 
• Reduce Pigmentation
• Long Lasting Odor Control 
• Reduce Hair Growth
• Can Be Used At Other Parts of Body

Ingredients:

Well, there isn't any formula nor ingredients stated at the back of the tub. So I roughly googled for the ingredients. 

• Mulberry Extract 
• Jojoba Oil
• Shea Butter
• Alcohol 

... and many other ingredients (with chemicals names) that looked unfamiliar to me.

Testing on the product.

Directions

Apply twice a day after shower on dry skin.

Pros

It is a lightly scented cream. Strong scented creams are worse if you have body odor.

Cons

It doesn't absorb as it claims & is greasy too. I feel like I'm applying a layer of candle wax on my underarms. Probably this is to reduce the perspiration on underarms. Cream is also slightly overpriced at SGD$16 for a 50g tub, where most Instashop are selling it. 

 Question is.. Are Thailand made products safe & effective? 

Honestly, I think everyone should stay away from it. Most beauty products made in Thailand do not use specially controlled ingredients and are not scrutinized & approved by FDA. Labeling are all in Thai language & with restricted English language, so consumers doesn't have clear and appropriate information on usage & warning of safe use.

Pros: 

I love this stuff. I have been using this product for 2 weeks and I can see the result already! I have acne scars due to the bad climate here and was given the sample to try. My acne scars are less noticeable and my redness on the sides of my cheeks just disappeared! I woke up with soft skin too!

Cons:

It is liquid and runny, it does gets into my eyes but it dries up fast. Not much of a worry. =)

• No matter how much coats I applied, it is obviously a clear eye liner. No sign of pink on my eyelids.

Not sure about other colours of Majolica Majocra Perfect Automatic Eye Liners, but there are many such Pearl Pink Eye Liner options in the market, which works well on me, such as 3 eye concept & Etude house! 

This is real bad, not worth trying for. 

My Hair Growth Journey with Young Living Essential Oils

Sorry for the lack of update! I've been so busy with alot of things over the last few months. All fun stuff, but it has left me with less time to devote in writing for the blog. I do want to stay on a kind of schedule with my updates because it's my goal in 2015 to blog at least once a week!

My hair are fuller now but I no longer using YL Cedarwood Essential Oil after I finished the bottle. Instead, I used YL Progessence Phyto Plus (Hormones) & YL Clary Sage (Support women health & well-being).  I have been battling with hair loss for the longest time and couldn't find the reason until I took the ZYTO Compass Bioscan from my upline, Shamala Tan. I am very grateful towards her for all the informations she shared and guide me on the usage of the oils.

Gillian's DIY Home Spray with Young Living

Ok, you guys shouldn't be looking at my avatar when you read this post. I'm actually auntie at heart. =P When it comes to personal hygiene & cleanliness,  I'm very particular. Because it's the rainy season now, the ants around my house are moving their nest frequently. (err I don't know where they come from actually..) I NEEDA GET RID ALL OF THEM! 

My friend Madeline suggested me to try out this amazing product from Young Living, Thieves Household Cleaner which I didn't regret buying it! I filled the spray bottle with tap water and diluted 1 capful of Thieves Household Cleaner and sprayed at the ants. Subsequently I do this for the next 3 days and successfully killed all the ants. Not only that, I felt my living room & kitchen are so polished and clean! How amazing this product is!

Hence, I created my own home spray.

Regina KPL Review

Have anyone tried REGINA KPL? They have outlets at The Central, 100AM, Junction 8 blah blah... Well anyway, they are real bad. Do stay away from them! I bought this voucher from Groupon for their unlimited KPL upperlip. The package was cheap, I understand and they need to be pushy at times. 

However, I felt the burden visiting the shop each time (The Central Outlet). This PRC staff, I suppose is the manager of the branch, or maybe not she just look like one never fails to psycho me to try out their Brazilian KPL or their facial.. and sometimes I could feel being forced.. yup FORCE. And each time, I would KINDLY reject the offer, she would still go on telling me their wow WOW WOW!!! kind of promotions. To the extend, sometimes I need to fake an excuse to run away from their shop. Sounds exaggerating right? Go google or check out their facebook, I'm not the only victim. 

The KPL itself works on me after a few sessions with them, the hair on my upper lips are getting finer and I am not going back to REGINA anymore.

Once in a while, we have a class outing. Had a craving for Naengmyun (Cold Noodles) and my teacher suggested this restaurant as he felt they served the best Naengmyun in Singapore. They have a lunch set menu $23++, which you can choose between bulgogi/galbi and a naengmyun/jigae. The bulgogi I've tried is being cooked with dark soya sauce and tasted sweet, but this is slightly different as you can see from the picture. 

Overall, the food satisfy my taste bud, it's slightly pricey though..

Young Living - Cedarwood Essential Oil (Hair Loss)

Cedarwood Essential Oil was the first oil introduced to me before I joined Young Living. I had a serious hair loss problem over the years, tried all kinds of formulas but none of it worked. My girlfriend who attended the workshop, told me about this amazing oil can aid my hair loss. I hesitate at first because I hate to put oil base products on my scalp since it's already oily and the smell must be weird. Then she told me about the price...

Properties of Cedarwood Therapeutic-Grade Essential Oil

Directions

It has been a few months since I used this oil, it haven looses it's effect. For a 15ml of Cedarwood Oil can last me for a few months. Since it's affordable, why not give it a try?

Young Living - Lavender Essential Oil Part 2

So if you have make up on, remove your make up & cleanse your face.

Am I the only person that thinks Shiseido Perfect Oil (Make up remover) doesn't completely remove all my make up and leaves a filmy residues on my eyes? Oh well, I just have to bare with it and take a longer time to fully remove my make up because it's pricey too. Oh well... =(

Note: It is important to stick with only using a facial mask (20mins) once a week. While you can never get enough of the relaxation benefits that come with using a face mask, your skin does. Overusing a face mask can strip your skin of unnecessary oil. In turn, your skin will overcompensates by creating too much oil, making it look even worse.
